On Patrol in No Man's Land is a booklet I designed in 2022 that tells the story of the Harlem Hellfighters, an all-African American regiment in World War One. The booklet is made up of two articles taken online that describe the hardships they faced, their contribution to the war, and their contributions to bringing jazz music to France. The book also includes a map I designed that highlights the key role the Harlem Hellfighters played in stopping the German Spring Offensive. 

The design of the book is based on propaganda leaflets used in World War One. I brought in old-fashioned design elements with a modern approach to immerse the reader into the period.
